- Doing Business in Kenya: The first subnational report on Kenya compares business regulation across 11 Kenyan localities in four areas: starting a business, dealing with construction permits, registering property and enforcing contracts. The report suggests that localities in Kenya can learn from each other and adopt good practices within the country. If a hypothetical city, "Kenyana", were to adopt the best practices, it would rank 78th among the 183 economies measured in the global Doing Business report, 17 places better than Kenya’s current global rank. Doing Business in Russia: A new report finds that authorities can adopt best international and local practices to enhance business activity. Doing Business in Russia 2009 compares the regulatory environment of 10 Russian cities on 4 selected indicators -- it analyzes how easy or difficult it is to start a business, obtain construction permits, register property, and trade across borders.
